Oh Georgia! Oh Georgia!

Taking a trip to Georgia was a great idea and a last minute getaway for the weekend.  After a long car ride sitting in holiday and spring break traffic we got out of the car and stretched our legs.  Dalton, Georgia, our first stop was a quaint town with friendly people.  We explored a little in the downtown area and the neighborhoods.  We then decided to head over to Chattanooga, Tennessee where we ate at this really lovely restaurant called Tupelo Honey.  Biscuits and jam of course with a pulled pork sandwich that was perfection.  I’m not from the south but I’m getting into southern foods little by little with no complaints.  Even with our bellies full there’s always room for dessert, which is the motto I live by even when I’m not on a trip.  We had to stop at the local dessert shop, The Hot Chocolatier down the street.  Chocolate truffles, gelato, and hot chocolate! Yes please!  Lavender Hot Chocolate with a generous slice of Raspberry Layered Cake and a side of macaroons was exactly what we needed and not a crumb was left.

Lastly, Atlanta was the final destination before our trip was over so we decided to go shopping.  We went to Lenox Square and had a great time walking around.  We ran into Bubbleology, I love bubble tea.  Passion fruit tea with mango boba is always a good choice.  As the weekend went on, it soon came to an end and we barely started.  Atlanta is such a big city so we will definitely be back for more fun.  My first time in Georgia was a great one, short but sweet. Oh Georgia! Oh Georgia!
